Samarkand (Uzbekistan), microgrid 4.5 MW
We implemented a comprehensive project to create an autonomous energy center for a large agro-industrial enterprise in Samarkand region, Republic of Uzbekistan. The task was to provide the facility with stable power supply and high-quality process steam for dairy production processes.
Facility type: Energy island (cogeneration).
Capacity: 4.5 MW.
Main equipment: 3 Jenbacher 420 series gas piston units
Project challenges
- Technological integration: lack of synchronization of cogeneration units with the existing heat supply systems of the enterprise.
- Production specificity: Ensuring uninterrupted supply of superheated steam for the food cycle, which required high accuracy of calculations of the water treatment system.
- International format: Working with foreign standards and remote technical supervision for project implementation in a remote location.
Vancosta performed the following work:
Integrated design:
-
- Development of the master plan, architectural and structural solutions (foundations, metal structures).
- Design of technological solutions, exclusively with thermal circuits and integration of steam generator equipment.
Engineering systems and automation:
-
- Design of power supply systems, internal gas supply, heating, ventilation and water treatment.
- Implementation of modern automation systems, gas removal and integration of fire extinguishing systems.
Control and support:
-
- Ensuring quality and safety in accordance with international ISO standards.
- Remote technical supervision at the construction and installation stage, which guaranteed compliance of real works with design solutions.
