Meat processing plant, cogeneration system with biofuel use
Implementation of a cogeneration project for a meat processing plant in Zhytomyr region, implementation of a cogeneration plant using renewable fuel — biogas.

The main task was to deploy the first stage of the power plant in the shortest possible time. The specifics of the facility required adaptive engineering, i.e. adjustments “on site”.
Technical solution
The project involved launching the first stage of the power plant with a capacity of 1 MW.
Fuel: Renewable sources (biogas), which allows the enterprise to significantly reduce its carbon footprint and optimize energy costs.
Scalability: The solution architecture was developed taking into account further expansion and installation of the second stage of equipment to double generation.
VANCOSTA team implemented the key stages of the project:
- Construction supervision — full control over the process of preparing the foundations, ensuring that each unit complies with the requirements of the equipment manufacturer and international safety standards.
- Installation work and “field engineering”
Within the framework of the need for a quick launch, the following was carried out in a short time:
- Installation of power equipment: installation and wiring of a 1 MW cogeneration unit.
- Engineering adaptation: prompt solution of design tasks directly at the site. We developed and implemented docking units and transition elements “from the wheels”, which allowed us to avoid delays associated with the re-approval of factory drawings.
- Network integration: connection of the unit to the internal heat and electricity networks of the enterprise.
- Quality and safety control (in accordance with ISO standards)
Despite the high pace of work, strict internal protocols were observed:
- Multi-level inspection of connections, use of non-destructive testing methods.
- Operational management with clear coordination of adjacent contractors on the site to eliminate time losses.
The first stage of the 1 MW power plant was put into operation in record time. The enterprise received a stable source of energy from ecological fuel, and the infrastructure of the facility is fully prepared for the rapid deployment of the second stage.
